The Balmoral Hunting Jacket

Borrowed from the shooting field and softened for town. The Balmoral is a medium-length jacket with a broad vintage lapel, long sleeves and the easy, roomy cut of something meant to be worn over a knit. It has the air of a jacket found in a country wardrobe — useful, unhurried, quietly old.

Apricot is the warmer, more autumnal of the two, good against brown corduroy and cream knitwear. Blue is cooler and reads closer to a workwear jacket, at home over denim. Both improve as the cloth relaxes.
