The Marlowe Business Leather Derby

A low, clean derby in the British manner, cut on a slim Korean last — the shoe that carries a man from a morning meeting to a late table without a change.

The upper is a smooth PU leather with a quiet retro sheen, seamed simply so nothing distracts from the line of the foot. A low heel of one to three centimetres and a rubber sole give it grip and silence on stone.

Wear it with: flannel or wool trousers and a knitted tie in black; chinos and an open collar in brown.

Fit: true to size for most; if you sit between sizes, take the larger. Sizes 38 to 48.

Care: wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry away from heat.
