Details

An unhurried piece of knitwear for the man who no longer dresses to be noticed.

The Beaumont is cut long and easy — a cardigan with the presence of a coat. It falls in a clean, uninterrupted line from shoulder to hip, the sort of silhouette you find in old photographs of men walking home along a harbour, hands in pockets, collar left open to the wind. Nothing about it strains for attention, and that is precisely the point.

Knitted in a soft cotton-blend yarn with a fine acrylic core, it holds its shape through long afternoons without ever feeling stiff. The weight is honest: substantial enough for the first cool mornings of autumn and the last cool ones of spring, light enough to keep on indoors. The relaxed cut leaves room for a shirt beneath — Oxford cotton, linen, a plain crewneck — and drapes rather than clings.

Offered in five quiet tones: deep green, apricot, brown, grey and camel. Each was chosen to sit comfortably beside cream trousers, faded denim, or grey flannel, and to age gracefully rather than date.

The Details

  • Longline open cardigan silhouette, relaxed through the body
  • Cotton-blend yarn with acrylic for softness and shape retention
  • Medium weight — designed for spring and autumn layering
  • Full-length sleeves with a natural, unrestricted drape
  • Available in Green, Apricot, Brown, Grey and Camel — sizes S to XL

How to Wear It

Over a white tee with pleated trousers and loafers for the weekend. Over a striped knit and denim for the drive out of the city. Left open, always — the Beaumont was never meant to be buttoned up.

On Sizing

The cut runs relaxed by design. If you sit between two sizes, take the larger for a fuller, more languid drape, or the smaller for a closer line. Please allow 2–3 cm variation from hand measurement, and note that colours may render slightly differently from screen to screen.

Ships as: one knit coat, folded and wrapped.

The knitwear is the quiet star. No logo, no fuss — just a very good sweater that makes everything else I own look better.

Two weeks between order and doorstep. Longer than the high street, and worth it — but plan ahead if you are buying for an occasion.
